I was introduced to the martial arts through a high school kung fu club, where I studied for two years before going to college. I was unable to find any kung fu schools in the area so I decided to undertake Hop Ki Do, Aikido, and eventually Tae Kwon Do. However, each experience ended with the Instructor concluding that the kung fu techniques I had learned were too effective, and I was asked to leave.

It has been about 20 years since I last studied, and I am thankful to have found an art that trains practicality over all else. I am looking forward to progressing in Wing Chun and with the AWCA, and I have set a goal to become an Instructor in order to spread this incredible art.
