I've been enjoying the martial arts journey since 1971 when I was just 7 years old. I was learning Aikido in my father's dojo, and from that moment on, my interest in the martial arts grew.

When I was 18, I began to study Karate, and two years later I took up Judo. My idea was to be as versatile as possible, but I was never completely satisfied. I knew that there was something missing, but was not sure what it was until I saw Wing Chun in action. And straight away, I knew I needed to learn that.

I searched my local area for a school but there was nothing in my whole county. I trawled the Internet for a solution and surfed though Sifu Phil's website a few times before I clicked on to the DLP. After that, I dove right in.

I am not looking to be a brilliant fighter in Wing Chun; instead, I am learning it because I 'feel the pull' of the art itself. And with Sifu Phil's help, I will take it as far as I can.
