When I was younger, I tried a variety of karate systems, hoping to find one that 'fit' with what I was looking for. After not finding anything that really appealed to me or how I viewed real fighting, I then experimented a bit with Chinese arts and enrolled in a local Shaolin kung fu academy. After almost a year, I still felt little satisfaction.

I have always been interested in the experiences of Bruce Lee and the manner in which he dedicated his life to self-exploration and understanding about real fighting. When I realized that Wing Chun was the basis for his methods, I was elated to learn that a friend of mine knew Sifu Phil and I was immediately determined to be accepted as his student.

I am dedicated to learning and understanding everything that Wing Chun relates, and I am honored to be a part of Sifu Phil's class.
