2009 AWCA Training Camp

Greensboro, NC

The 2009 AWCA Training Camp was held on October 16, 17 and 18 in Greensboro, North Carolina, at the school of Monty Hendrix, Essential Martial Arts. Monty has graciously allowed the hosting of our annual east coast seminar at his school beginning this year, so we kicked off the camp by going over the Siu-Nim-Tau, Chum-Kiu, and first four sections of Chi-sau.

The 3-day training camp was met with a lot of determination and passion by all members, and everyone walked away with a lot of new material to work on (as well as a more in-depth concept of current curriculums). With members attending from all over the United States and the United Kingdom, this particular camp was especially important since it was the inaugural East Coast event we will be conducting. The AWCA will now have a West Coast and separate East Coast training camp so that more members will have a chance to get to us.
