Minimum System Requirements for Installing and Viewing AWCA eBooks

All AWCA eBooks are built for the PC environment using Microsoft Windows. The compiler used to create the final product generates an EXE file, which is a PC file.

Although some newer Mac operating systems and applications can run EXE files, not all Macs have this capability.

If your system does not meet the below minimum system requirements, I must recommend that you not purchase an AWCA eBook. I am unaware of any work-arounds that will allow you to run our eBooks if your system does not meet the minimum requirements listed below.

  • Microsoft® operating system. AWCA eBooks are not compatible with the Macintosh operating system. Acceptable Microsoft operating systems include:

Check Windows® ME

Check Windows® NT

Check Windows® 2000

Check Windows® XP (both Home Edition and Professional)

Check Windows® Vista

Check Windows® 7

Check Windows® 95. AWCA eBooks are not compatible with Windows95 operating systems.

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer v6.01 or higher. The eBook's compiler is based on components from Internet Explorer. Therefore, even if you use Firefox or another browser, you must still have Microsoft Internet Explorer v6.01 or higher installed on your system. If you do not have Internet Explorer, you must install it in order for the eBook to open.

    Download Microsoft Internet Explorer

  • Hard Disk Drive (HDD). 80 MB to 200 MB per eBook (depending on the size, which varies). When the eBook is installed, you can delete the ZIP file that you downloaded (or copy it to CD), thereby conserving HDD space.
  • System Memory (RAM). A minimum of 512 MB of memory is required to properly run our eBooks. If you do not have this, your system will probably display an "Out of memory" error message.
